Each series I have developed over time reflects a different way of seeing, thinking and responding to the world around me. While I was over in that dazzling part of the world I spent 4 days on Santorini wandering the streets with my husband and every turn was an inspiration. It was, however, this scene we happened upon while walking from Imerovigli to Fira which totally captivated me and I knew I would paint it one day. I think every artist who has been there has tried to capture Santorini's beauty and there is an argument that paintings of this island have become perhaps a little hackneyed.
