I love that bin – I know it’s not remarkable to anyone else, but to me it’s Dad, J P Roche. That’s how he signed my 21\u003csup\u003est\u003c\/sup\u003e birthday key – and how we signed every card he received after that, just our initials and surname.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eDad loved burning things in the old 44-gallon drum on the farm, often with more enthusiasm than environmental awareness, heading out with a glint in his eye and a spring in his step. So, when I saw the barrier mesh sitting up jauntily in this bin I was at once reminded of him.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eSo many memories came rushing back while I painted this piece.
