Worlds Within

Worlds Within brings together the different bodies of work that have emerged through my painting practice over the years; exploring the idea that a life can contain many worlds. Each series I have developed over time reflects a different way of seeing, thinking and responding to the world around me. Together, these bodies of work reveal not one fixed artistic identity, but a shifting landscape of interests, experiences, memories and imagination.

The exhibition also includes a small number of works by my son. Their presence reveals that even within a family, where lives and experiences are closely connected, each person develops a world that is distinctly their own.

The works are not brought together because they are the same, but because they reveal the richness of difference: the shift between generations, between influence and independence, between the familiar and the unexpected.
