This is a portrait of my daughter - we often do photo shoots for my paintings and she is not what you'd call a willing participant! However every now and again I manage to capture her off guard and this is one of those moments. I love the look in her eye, and the innocence I see there - the last vestige of her girlhood. The addition of the flowers add to the whimsy and nostalgia.
